Community Workshop
We held our Community Workshop on Saturday September 6th in the Flinders Civic Hall. It was a great success with about 24 attendees, including Alex & Stacey Thompson from Thompson Electrical Solutions. We enjoyed a few short presentations: Ralph reviewed our progress to date in the light of our FZCC Roadmap; Jon briefly reminded us of the various rebates available for appliances, solar and batteries; Alex talked about his experiences installing home batteries. Jon then introduced the group discussions with the concept of a 'Virtual Energy Network' - something that people seemed keen to pursue. We then gathered in our groups to discuss ideas for continuing our efforts to reduce the carbon output of Flinders. Lots of good ideas!
